Hush Your Mouth Pt. 1
Gossip is something that has affected all of our lives in one way or another. We’ve listened to it, spread it, and been victims of it. The scary thing about gossip, however, is what the Word says about it and the fact that we succumb to it so quickly that we hardly ever take it for the serious offense it really is.

Can We Find God?
What one means by finding God depends on one's concept of God, which varies from person to person. To search for an object or a person is one thing and to search for an idea or concept is something else. The search for truth belongs to the second category and to find God is to find the ultimate truth.

Riddles About Somebody's Death
Maybe, yes, we all die a little every day, but at least, those little deaths are nothing dramatic; just a bad hair day, a broken tooth, a night of heavy drinking that decimated thousands of your neurons. But if you end up lying on the pavement and staring at your own squashed brain, right there, on the same metropolitan road so many of us beat everyday, it just makes you stop.

Freedom From Suffering
What causes suffering? It is really quite simple. Suffering occurs when we are disconnected from Self. The Self contains essential qualities of Love, Oneness, Merging, Trust, Knowingness, Abundance, Empowerment, true Value and Worth, and so on. The qualities are essential, authentic. They cannot be understood, only experienced.

Authority Rules!
When our eleven children were young I accepted no argument, I was the boss, they were to obey my authority. The meaning of the word authority is obscure. We only understand the word in part because all we see is the tip of the iceberg-like meaning. The deeper meaning is far below the surface and much larger than we may realize. Who is an author? What does an author create? From a Christian perspective we know God is the author of all. His authority is accepted on faith. We stand firm and know - God rules.

Christians Endure and Survive Because of Hope
One summer day my family was lazily floating in individual inner tubes down the Clearwater River. It was the perfect day and the perfect time, and the slow moving river would offer a little excitement every once in a while with a tiny rapid or two. We'd hit those rapids with excitement, shoot down the river for a couple hundred yards, and then settle back down to the gentle flow of normalcy. The perfect day was suddenly interrupted by horrible screams of animals piercing our peace from somewhere upriver.

Transformation Begins with Confession
This article asserts that an expanded definition of the usual understanding of confession - owning and admitting material in our psyche that was previously hidden from sight - actually leads to a transformation of the personality and makes new behaviors possible.

Lack of Faith Ties the Hands of Almighty God in His Working Among the Children of Men; Part 2
Answered prayers are sometimes the most convincing and faith-creating forces. Unanswered prayers chill the atmosphere and freeze the soil of faith. If Christians knew how to pray so as to have answers to their prayers, evident, immediate, and demonstrative answers from God, faith would be more widely diffused, would become more general, would be more profound, and would be a much more mighty force in the world.
